Talk #1: Ethical Responsibility as a Software Developer by Emma Dendooven

In today's world, it is more important than ever for software developers to consider their ethical responsibilities. However, I often feel that this topic is not discussed enough among developers.

We will start with a short introduction that sets the stage for a lively group debate. During the talk, we will delve deeply into the impact that our work has on society, the environment, and our fellow humans, and discuss where our responsibilities lie in the process. But it won't be a one-way conversation - we want to hear from you! Whether you are a seasoned pro or just starting out, your perspective is valuable.

This is your chance to share your thoughts, ideas, and questions with like-minded individuals. I believe that open and honest discussions are key to driving real change in our industry, and I'm excited to hear what you have to say.

Talk #2: See Me, Hear Me, Include Me: A Journey through Disability and Web Accessibility by Rune Devuyst

We'll begin by exploring the various types of disabilities and their challenges, including my personal experience. From there, we'll examine the challenges people with disabilities face online and look at simple, effective ways to make websites more accessible. We'll also highlight some low-hanging fruit that can be easily implemented.
By the end of this talk, you'll (hopefully =]) have a deeper understanding of disability and web accessibility and feel motivated to take action toward a more inclusive and accessible world.
